Hey all, is anyone a fan of this show?

We've been catching up on the Logo channel.

From reading spoilers, apparently, the show has ended now.

I like it. I have only watched a few eps though. I have the complete seasons 1-6, so I will watch all of the eps sometime.

Wow, all the seasons? That is cool!

I read a fun article with the actress that plays Bette and Marlee Matlin. It was pretty funny! Apparently, they have been friends since the 80's.

My parents watch it all the time. I stayed for an episode and it was cool. Might do it again some time. Definitely beats the normal boring soaps.

I love, love, love the series! So sad that the final season, 6, was the final and aired in spring 2009. I have seen all about parts of 1 and none of 6.

Do you have all seasons on dvd or on comp?

Great recaps with good descriptions and funny comments can be found here:

Well, Logo isn't playing it as much, but what perfect timing. I have just rejoined Netflix, so we can watch the rest of the seasons from them.

Lol, I think Alice is my fave character. That girl cracks me up!

Jenny is my least favorite.

Yeah crazy jenny; ugh! Yeah Alice is great comically speaking. She's my fave overall too I think. That being said I think tina is gorgious or should I say Laurel Holloman is. :)

Does the Real L Word have anything to do with the original L Word? Never saw the show; will look it up on YouTube.

The L Word was my weekly treat as I got through undergrad and grad school. If you love the show, can I just warn you that season 6 is a complete writing failure? There were 8 episodes, storylines are left hanging, and the writing just continued to go downhill with each season. Still, as with artists that I once loved, I continued to be a fan no matter how ridiculous things became. I can't imagine watching it on Logo. They mute anything even remotely considered to be bad language, and after watching it uncensored, it was too hard to not yell at the tv.
I am ashamed to admit that I will watch the reality version of the show, at least for a time or two. Someone mentioned that we take whatever we get when we're starving for content, and truer words could not have been spoken.
Jenny is the character we love to hate, Shane needed to let all of the drama queen angstiness go, and as for other couplings and pairings, season 6 is the one that will make you yell at the television as well as the writers. Also, look for the interrogation tapes on Youtube once you've seen the final season. We were supposed to get a spinoff with Alice, but I guess Showtime prefers real life attention whores to the cost of writers and creativity.

Ha. I absolutely loved as well Tina And Bet. They made the best couple. So the new show is called the real l word?

Post 16 by icequeen (move over school!) on Friday, 18-Jun-2010 20:55:35

Yep it really is called "The Real L Word" You can check out a sneak peek review of the first two episodes here:

and btw, I agree about Bette and Tina. ;-D

Well, we have officially finished the original lWord. Pretty good!

Though why is it necessary for the f word to be so present? Bette, a fancy art woman, uses it. Tina, a gental mother and movie creator, uses it. They all used it! It was the main constent that annoyed me.

BTW, I read an article that when the show wrapped up, there was like 5 or 6 staffers that had babies in real life. The actress that played Helena was one of them! *smile*
